Department of Home Affairs online applications a waste of time

Their online passport application on their website simply doesn't work. OTP's (one time pin) only arrived the next day, all 12 of them at once from all my attempts. That was it for day 1. Filled out the rest of the application form after 2 attempts to get into the application form and now their application form is stuck and pending after completing it. That is day 2 of what is supposed to be a 15 minute application in total. I'm beyond frustrated as time is of the essence here and I don't live anywhere close to a Home Affairs office or selected bank.
