Department of Home Affairs - Not so Easy and Not so Efficient

Benoni Department of Home Affairs I app**** for an unabridged marriage certificate in 2018. In September 2018 when I arrived at the Home Affairs to collect the document the incorrect document was handed to me. The assistant, Sarah asked me to complete another application which was submitted on the same day. In January 2019 I was informed that the document was still not ready. I have since then been to the Home Affairs offices twice and was informed that the certificate is not ready. I have been calling every week to the offices and on numerous occasions, I have been informed that the certificate is not ready. Recently Sarah has been avoiding my calls altogether. For the past week, nobody answers the phone. I am very frustrated by this process. On the website, it states that it takes 6-8 weeks for the certificate to be issued I have been waiting for over a year!
