<p>Department of Home Affairs - Centurion This is the office i used to prefer. Their service was the best. I dont even stay near Centurion but i would drive there if there is anything i wanted; they would deliver. I Rated this centurion office of Home Affairs the best of the best 100%, 10/10. Until now :-( = 0% 0/10 Here's my story; Note: In September 2018 i have app**** for an unabridged birth certificate at the centurion office. I was changing both the name and surname of my adopted child. In January 2019 i visited the centurion office to check the progress of my application. I was informed by the official that they only processed it in November 2018. End of February 2019 i went back again to check and i was told that this might take a year meaning i must come back again in 2020. My concern is that one lady who was also applying for the same thing informed me that her application only took three (3) months. I tried calling this number - ***and the one in centurion ********** and they are not responding. There is no ringing tone at all. they are not functioning yet they were put on the website for citizens to use. On the 30th May 2019 i visited the centurion office again hoping that i would get the Unabridged Birth Certificate for my Son. The ladies who were assisting were not professional and i guess it's because of the way they judge people. If you look like you dont know your rights, you get a substandard treatment. Both ladies were not talking the same language. I was never explained from the beginning the process of getting an Unabridged Birth Certificate: Remember i completed about four sets of forms with name change and surname change (thinking that i am going to get the Unabridged Birth Certificate). This was in September. The two ladies then told me that i need to start the process from scratch OR if i want (with an attitude) speak to the manager. I need to pay for the Unabridged Birth Certificate. This was never explained to me in September 2018 when i started this process. Came back on Friday 31st May and went to the Manager's office Mr *****. Who took my documents, scanned them and promised me that this will be resolved asap. He said he will not be in the office this week but i can send him an email ********** for a follow up and He will surely reply but He did not. How can i get help? I need this unabridged certificate as a matter of urgency. No one at that office is talking the same language. It seems to me that there is no set procedures that they follow. I adopted my Son and No one can tell me he doesnt deserve to have an Unabridged Birth Certificate. He has all the Rights as set out in the Children's Act. Kindly assist&nbsp; ********** 609</p>
