2006 I went to Home Affairs to do a death certificate for my late dad so I was advised that my id is showing as deceased so they made me apply for a new id book. After 2 weeks my id was ready. So ever since then everything was cleared so this year 2019 I went to my bank Capitec to take loan and I was advised that they cannot assist me because I am deceased. I then went back to Home Affairs to query about the matter then I was given a letter of confirmation that I am not deceased and they told me that it will only clear 8 months to 2 years. So basically this means that I cannot do anything nor can I buy anything using my id since it still shows as deceased. So how it possible that in 2006 they were able to clear my name but now in 2019 I have to wait.
