Deliberate delays of Dept of Home Affairs on my PRP verification

I app**** for verification of my Permanent Residence Permit in June 2022 at Home Affairs office in PE, I was told it takes 8 months to receive the outcome. I have been following up with calls and emails with no luck. How come an institution that issued the same document takes such a long time just to verify a document they themselves issued. Please assist me because I can see that this is just a deliberate.
