Delaying birth certificate

I app**** for birth certificate 2019 June at Edenvale home affairs, the collection date was on 8th of January 2020. We went there and told isn't there. Today on the 13th March 2020 went there and tjey told us to call pretoria as the birth certificate isn't there. The child still at home, cannot attend or applt to any school without birth certificate. The fuel that wme waste driving to home affairs more than once is too much. My child is stressing because of staying at home not doing anything.
