Confirmation Letter

I called home affairs and asked for a confirmation letter for surname change from my mother to my biological father, which has changed 2 years ago. They told me i must go the branch and apply for it which i did. But when i call to ask if it has been done, i am told that the head office hasn't given approval yet for then to type and print the letter. This is very frustrating because i really need it ASAP.

Home affairs Service is slow and very frustrating. It's really ridiculous if i have to wait for so long for something that is already in their system.
