complaint about bad service
On tuesday 16 january 2018 I went to apply for my smart card at the department of home affairs in Harrison street Johannesburg CBD.I arrived at 7 am and queed in the line with 15-20 people in front of me.The door was opened around 9am.The only people who were allowed in were those who came for ID collection.WE stood in our quee until 3pm were we were given slips to indicate that we visited the department on that particular day and told to come back the following day with no explanation as to what was happening inside the offices.Other people were just coming randomly and without queeing;allowed to go inside and within minutes they would come out with papers showing that they got the service they wanted. I tried to enquire from the security guy and he told me to wait in the quee.He said that these people who are coming out are those who came for collection. That was not true because one of us went to the toilet which is inside only to find that those people who were allowed in were applying for ID cards.I am so frustrated by this department.I went to Home Affairs in Maponya mall on thursday 19 january.Their service is excellent as compared to Harrison street.I app**** for my smart card and within 1 hour i was done .Harrison street home affairs is annoying
