Childs birth certificate error and delay

I app**** for a Birth certificate for my son in the year 2013 in December. I got the certificate on the day and reviewed it when I was home. I noticed that with the date of birth there was an error in that he was born 9 Aug 2013 (09/08/13) and it showed that he was born on the 8 September 2013 (08/09/13). I went back to their offices the following day and fortunately met the same lady that had assisted me. She told me that I should have checked before signing the form if the particulars were correct. I informed her that I would have checked if she allowed me to fill in the form myself or rather told me to check before signing instead of just telling to sign in the designated area. She then acknowledge at the end of the day that it was her mistake and that she would look into it. The official also required me to leave a copy of the proof of birth from the hospital which I did and said this would take a few weeks to be corrected. I am still waiting to this day for my son's certificate with no constructive feedback on it instead they inform me that it is still not ready or that they are still attending to it in the National Office. This is unacceptable!
