Beyond a joke...

So after applying for our unabridged marriage certificate at Centurion home affairs(for the third time I must add because the first two applications couldn't be found), it's been almost 6 months AGAIN, (supposedly it takes up to 8 weeks max), and we still have no certificate. Nobody can tell me what the hold up is, all I get after holding on for half an hour before someone actually answers the call is "we are escalating the matter please phone again next week"!!! We are in the process of applying for visas and our documents are lapsing one by one because of this incompetence and our lives are on hold. This is totally unacceptable, but the sad thing is, it's become the norm and nobody gives a flying hoot.
