BELOW PAR SERVICES AT CALL CENTRE - DECADES YEARS BEHIND
Call Centre Pretoria : Follow up on Unabridged Birth Certificate since Feb 2021.
Its difficult to connect , it says "the telephone number you called is not available , please call again later' It is utter disservices . Why have a call centre you cannot even connect to it ? It has been a month trying to get hold of them . On one occasions I was through , I spoke to a good person who logged my query and advised that I will be called or get a correspondence within 7 - 14 days. After that period expired , I followed and call are not being picked up , when they are picked up by the machine it gives options once and you hold for an hour while listen to the whole operational processes . Modern call centres , would say , if you want to repeat these option , press 1 or any number , if you want to speak to the agent ,without choosing any given option press , say 9 ( general call centre - who may reroute the call). Please fix this. This home affairs is designed , first and foremost, for South Africans , not all these options of Visa , Refugees , Asylum Seekers , foreign this and that ? Please, otherwise have a line for Domestic Affairs of SA Citizens and one for International Affairs (Incoming) . This is a disservice to the country , I cannot make 20 to 60 calls and , if lucky to get through, wait for more than an hour without being helped. How are about our country men who are using mobile phones with expensive airtimes? Have to go to your offices only to be told the delay is in Pretoria . When trying the call centre , it adds to more frustration that help . You need a full reconfiguration of this call centre and have agents working across the country. It not good at all.
