BAD SERVICE
I have been twice to the Home Affairs Office in Edenvale.

First time - 1 November 2014 to apply for a correction to an unabridged birth certificate.

Second time - 9 December 2014 to apply for an unabridged death certificate for a deceased estate for the family to use overseas.

To date, we have had no joy with Home Affairs. When you phone the call center, they say it has not been allocated and I must wait. I have got the reference numbers for both cases.

I then e-mailed Edenvale Home Affairs (per the Department of Home Affairs website), the supervisor - Annatiie Luus from Edenvale did not acknowledge the e-mail. I then tried the cell phone from the website and once again no one answers.

I then went to Edenvale office last week and spoke to the Annatjie Luus tried to explain to her what is happening and how long do I need to wait, and was told just wait.

I understand that home affairs has a backlog but this is ridiculous. The service a person experiences at HOme affairs is totally unacceptable.
