Bad service

We app**** for an insertion of father's name on birth certificate and requested a unabridge Birth certificate on 8 Aug - they lost paperwork - then found it and now say it will take 3 to 6 months - on the 8th Aug we where told a max of 8 weeks - we have paid for airline tickets and accommodation based on info received the 8th August
