Application for new ID Card

I have app**** for a new ID card my old ID were in my handbag when I was armed ******, when I app**** on the 28 December 2015 they told me that I will have the new ID within 2 weeks it is the 1 Feb 2016 and every time I phone *** my application is still at the finger prints department to be loaded on the system this is very poor service from Roodepoort Home affairs how long should I go without an ID document.<br> Please can someone help me speed up this matter<br>
