Appalling service

In February 2013 I app**** at the Randburg Home Affairs for an unabridged birth certificate for my son. My very numerous phone calls have always yielded the same response - “not ready. We will escalate the case”

Today I get told, “The certificate has been collected” ? It was not collected by me or by anyone I know.

In November 2017 I app**** for a vault birth certificate for my son. My emails have had no response, and my numerous phone calls have yielded “not yet ready. We’ll escalate the case”. Today I was told that there is also an outstanding vault birth certificate app**** for in 2006!!! When trying to ascertain how I can get these certificates, the phone was slammed down by the call centre operator.

Without an unabridged birth certificate my son cannot go out of the country. Without a vault birth certificate he cannot emigrate. So he is a prisoner here until he turns 18!!
