Aggressive \service"and no delivery"""
I first submitted my child's Registration of Adoption papers in August last year. Since then I have had to re-submit various documents 7 times. I was harassed by a Home Affairs employee, Anah Marma, to the extent that I had to ask for witnesses. I reported the incident to Lehasa Lekalakala, manager of Home Affairs in Randburg, but received no reply to my emails or phone calls. Obviously this sort of behavior from his staff members does not bother him at all. After 4 months of calling the Home Affairs Call Centre every second day, I was told that my application had not even been captured by Pretoria. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the call centre agents disconnected my call. Albert Matsaung, Provincial Manager Gauteng, sent an email to Lehasa Lekalakala asking for this matter to be resolved. The email was ignored. So obviously Lehasa's lack of accountability and respect extends to his senior managers as well. The Children's Act stipulates the right of a child to an ID number. Our Department of Home Affairs obviously disrespects the constitution as well as its clients.
