after 2 years still waiting

i app**** for my daughters unabridged birth certificate more that 2 years ago. to date i still haven't heard anything from home affairs. when i make an effort to call their call centre they make me hold for 10 minutes, thereafter they tell me they do not have records of the birth. REALLY! how can the child have a birth certificate but they dont have details? which details do they not have & if i had not called when would i have know about this. am not sure if this is their excuse because a friend also had to sign some forms after she waited for 3 years. maybe you should update your website & says it takes 3 years for an unabridged birth instead of giving us false hope. now i must take take from my busy schedule & go back to home affairs just to get a piece of paper that i paid for but now am getting a run around to get it.
