I hope you can assist as I don't get answers back from Home Affairs, When I got married to my wife I adopted her son as well and the cord gave an order to change his surname to mine as well we did apply for this the 1st time in 2013 every time we follow up there were a different story, we went 9-01-2019 again and reapply Now it is already 6 months later I phone them every week and still every time they say try next week please assist as he is now 12 and keep asking the school needs his birth certificate that shows correct surname. No one seems can help us we don't know where to turn.
