A whole year to register marriage

I consulted the department for 11 months going on 12 months to register my customary marriage to my late husband. Not only was I sent from pillar to post during the application process, but to this point the marriage has not been captured,despite having submitted all the documents requested. I live in Johannesburg and I encountered these problems with department of home affairs in Rustenburg, so you can imagine the financial strain this has caused me.Not to mention time off work to try and resolve this matter as the person responsible was just never available during weekends. I have called the head office more than once and I was informed that the paperwork has not been submitted and nothing was ever captured on the system. I think I have exercised more than enough patience for the entire year and now it has run out and I am taking a stand against inefficiency.<br> I wish your staff could understand the dire consequences of their actions and how they impact people's lives. As the survivors of my late husband,myself and my son's lives are placed on hold because people entrusted with such responsibility just won't do their jobs. Desperate :(
