8hours in queue, and to be told you not on our sys
Dear Mr Bongani / Rashaad / Mosiuoa / Ignitius

As a matter of urgency please can you address this issue.

On Friday the 1st of April I spent 8 hours at the Barrack street Home Affairs to get my Passport renewed as I have booked a flight through to the UK on the 27th April at the end of this month. I showed the lady at the counter my flight ticket to confirm that I needed to have my passport escalated. She assured me that it would take 3-5 working days.

I waited till Friday the 8th of April and still had received no SMS. So I called and after the 5 attempt I got through. I was told that there was nothing on the system, and that they could do anything to help me and I needed to go through to Home Affairs again with my receipt.

So I had to change my work appointments and rush though to Barrack street again. I got to the counter and told the ladies at reception my issue and they even saw a Supervisor gentleman who then said unfortunately I will need to go through the whole process again.

They pushed me to get my photo again and within 15 minutes was at the processing desk, where I explained my situation and the urgency as I cannot apply for a Visa without my Passport.
