3 Months to Respond to Visa Extension Request..Now Blacklisted.

Submitted a Visa Extension request in December through VFS. No response from Home Affairs for almost 3 months. All I wanted at this stage was to get my visa request rejected so that I could leave the country without getting Black-Listed for overstay. The 3 named DHA contacts who you are told to contact do no respond to emails. They likewise do not answer Telephones. Rang one of the numbers for one hour. No response. The other two numbers appeared out of order. In desperation, went to Pta Home Affairs. Very helpful reception was clearly frustrated with DHA himself and once again no progress. 21 March 2020. Left South Africa and received Form 19, black listing me. I now have to appeal the Overstay decision if I want to return.

I planned to Study at a University in RSA. I will do so ...but not in South Africa!!!
