1Year 5months and still no permanent residence for our son

We app**** for our son's permanent residence in May 2016 and to date no decision has been made yet. He is nearly finishing grade 10 and will need his ID soon so he can do his matric.

We have called so many times to check on his applications and asked them to put urgent but still nothing.

We app**** in September 2016 to extend his temporary residence permit which was denied because the moderator didn't see his passport was extended. We lodged an appeal in the beginning of October 2016 and we are still waiting for this application to also be resolved.

We cannot continue to wait as we need to go overseas but cant because we are waiting for his visa's.

When will Home Affairs sort this out!!!
