15 Months and still waiting for replacement ID

<p>I had my ID ****** last year in March, reported it and had all the required documents that were specified by Home Affairs for a replacement ID. After applying for the ID I was called back to finalize more details which I gladly obliged to in an attempt to quicken the process. It has now been 15 months since then with numerous calls in between but still no update on the applicaton. Everytime I call I speak to the same mundane person who gives me the same reason for why it has not been completed yet. It is apparently under investigation since last year with still no resolve. Absolutely pathetic service to the citizzens of the country and utter disregard for our legal documents. Everything requires an ID these days and it is beyond me how this is still a problem with Home Affairs after all the complaints. However, from past experiences with Home affairs, it would be no surprise to me if I never receive my ID anyway.</p>
