She was transferred from a clinic on Tuesday and arrived with a drip already inserted. Upon arrival, the staff noted that the clinic’s drip was causing pain and pulling blood, and they said they would replace it. However, today is Thursday, and no action has been taken. The drip has not been changed, and no medical personnel have checked or attended to her concerning this issue. She is currently admitted in *Ward 7*, and it is deeply troubling that since her admission, not a single nurse or medical practitioner has taken the time to explain her condition to us. We still don’t know what is wrong or what is causing her health to deteriorate. The lack of communication and basic medical attention is unacceptable. Even worse, my sister is too afraid to speak up or ask questions, fearing she will be mistreated or ignored. This kind of intimidating environment goes against the very core of the *Batho Pele principles*, which are supposed to guide patient care in our public health system. I am requesting that the Department urgently investigate this matter and take the necessary steps to hold responsible parties accountable while ensuring that no other patient goes through a similar experience.
