Unfair treatment from the Department of Health

I served the government for 44 years and I was serving under the Department of Health, diligently and flexible .I was even awarded the certificate of merit .I started to serve the department from 1969 completed my auxi****y training in 1973 I obtained a staff nurse certificate and served as a staff nurse for 4 years at the clinic .in 1977 I pursued my career as a general nurse. I obtained my diploma in general nursing in 1981.further continued to train as a midwife and obtain my diploma in 1983 .I resigned in 2013 April .and I had kept days of 257 by the time I resigned. I was 64 years 11 months and I was told my leave days won't be paid out because I have resigned, this is unfair to me because this policy was never communicated to us while I was in the field of work .should I have known about the new policy I could have took my 257 days and be on leave instead of allowing the Government to ***** my money. This is not fair to people who are Lenient and loyal to the government we serve today.
