POOR SERVICE DELIVERY

My father fell ill and was diagnosed with Pneumonia by his GP and was sent to Eersteriver hopsita on 17th September, as a emergency case because he has Emphyema. When they got there, they were told by some woman who works there that he is not ill. That pushed my sister over the edge and completely lost her temper. They kept him in a small room hooked up to a Nebuliser and sitting on a chair because there are no beds available and we found him the same way the next day still unattended. I don't think that hospital (if you can call it that) is equipped to deal with chronic illnesses. Now this is not just about what happened with my dad. This is about all the elderly sick people that has to go through the same thing. Who do you complain to and WILL THEY ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT??? That place should be investigated. People who can't afford medical aid also have the right to be treated with dignity and with proper care by people who has a passion to be in that industry. If you do not have a gunshot and stab wound you only get attended to when someone is eventually availabe. Why doctors even send people to that place is beyond my understanding.
