On 26 march my mum Biquis Hoosain was taken in ambulance to get admitted in hospital as she bcame ill before the ambulance left 4rm our house premises premedic asked me as to which hospital she should be taken to so I Ms Afsha Hoosain (daughter) told the peremedics to take her to the nearest hospital which is Glynwood when the peremedics phoned Glynwood hospital they informed them that they had no bed available at the hospital therefore we took her to linmed hospital throughout the night at linmed hospital being a private hospital they had no doctors available nor did they have any doctors on standby. Meanwhile the nurse was busy talking to someone in charge at the Glynwood to get my mum admitted in Glynwood when the nurse fought with the hospital because Glynwood hospital confirms that topmed medical aid will not pay the billing as they do not fall under their network thats why they came on terms where we as a family of the patient must pay upfront of R150000 at 3 o clock in the morning to get my mum admitted that's the only time they will accept her and offer her a bed and treat her at the hospital......is this the type of service hospitals nowadays offer us???
