HORRIBLE SERVICE

<p>Good Day Sir/Madam</p> <p>I was very unhappy,sad and hurt about the service i experienced at KTC DAY HOSPITAL in Gugulethu.</p> <p>Firstly my name is Bulelwa Kali i stay at ny 79 nr 61 in Gugulethu not far from the Clinic,On Sunday around about past 2pm i went to the clinic because my son had chest problem he could not breathe probably and had a dry cough and i had to rush quickly to the Clinic.Got at the clinic went according to the procedure went to the card room to get my son's folder then they said we must wait at the waiting room,bare in mind he has a chest problem and can not breathe properly basically its an emergency fine we did as we were told went to the waiting room which was full meaning there was no seat they were all occupied by patients that arrived in the morning 8am,9am,10am,11am and on wards and they were tragically injured others were Stabbed, Bitten By Dog,Burned,Domestic Violence etc.</p> <p>We waited for about an hour before my son was examined and the nurse asked him few questions,when did the cough start,checked his temperature etc and we were sent back to the waiting room again to wait for the Doctor fine we did as we were told.Probably after 20 min after we were back from the examining room one of the patients that was stabbed in his head and was waiting from past 9am as per other patients that were there with him at the waiting room he had a horrible seizure attack and no doctor or nurse came when people were screaming for help and the security guard was just standing there but he was close to the professionals that could have helped that patient,instead other patients helped him until he was little bit calm then the porter only came.</p> <p>While we were still waiting the was a lady that was bitten by a dog and her child they were so in so much pain and they were at the Clinic since in the morning and they were still bleeding around about past 3pm.</p> <p>So there was this lady sitting on her wheel chair she looked like she's asleep and there's two ladies accompanying her and for the past 2 hours that we were t the waiting room she was just sitting there eyes closed and her head was laying on her right shoulder,one of the ladies tried to wake her up but she was not waking up instead the whole body was moving then one of the patients suggested that they must feel her pulse and check if she is still breathing and the lady did just that and she said she can not feel anything maybe she is nervous and asked on of the patients to feel the pulse which she did and she said she also can not feel anything then 3rd person felt her and she said she was no more.Bare in mind the security guard is there but he is not calling out for help even thou the people are scared kids are crying and terrified of what they seeing,i saw a Paramedic guy passing by and i asking him to come feel the pulse since he is much more experienced than the patients he felt it and confirmed that she is indeed DEAD.</p> <p>People were crying,screaming that that was second person dying while waiting for assistance that same day which is horrifying and bad,i understand that they would not be able to assist everyone at the same time but the patients that needed emergency help they could have assisted them first and avoided the trauma that they put the people and the children that were at the Clinic seeing people dying and having seizures.</p> <p>My request is to please get more efficient,reliable and caring staff members and that will be able to go an extra mile for patients,i believe this is not the first complaint bout this Clinic staff member are rude,they don't have name tags,no one to report to once you ask they ignore you like an insane person.When we go to Government hospital we expect to get a service we deserve as it is our right to get help.</p> <p>Your acknowledgement will be very much appreciated.</p> <p>Kind Regards<br />Bulelwa</p> <p> </p>
