Gauteng Health ComServ Workers have not been paid for January 2021

It has come to my attention that the Gauteng Department of Health (Steve Biko Academic) has not yet paid Medical Professionals (Physiothe******, Audiologists, Occupational The******s etc) doing their community service and internships, their salaries for the month of January 2021. Yet they are expected to come to work everyday and if the salary matter is brought up, they are simply told to stay at home if they cant come. How does one expect the best out of our medical professionals with this kind of attitude, these community service medical professionals need to be at the hospital everyday to learn and grasp as much knowledge and experience possible for the betterment of their career prospect.. This is unacceptable, inhumane and it's messing with a lot of people's livelihoods.to say the least, especially medical professionals who we so direly need during these difficult times. Just like many of us, all these professionals travel from other provinces in search for a better life and to gain that valuable experience needed in order to successfully branch out into to the working world, also bear in mind that these professionals have monthly expenses like food, rent and transport just to name a few and it's already the second week of February 2021 and still, no salary. Some professionals are fortunate enough to go without the salary but others are not and this is very disappointing and unacceptable, how these professionals are being treated. I would also just like to complain about a certain individual whom has been named in this debacle, Mr Frank Molwanthwa who is the Human Resources Official responsible for these professionals, he has been approached about this matter on several occasions and he couldn't, or can't even even give reasons as to why there is a delay, instead he just keeps saying that the documents are at Gauteng Health Head Office in Johannesburg and that's that. No follow ups and no updates are given by him and there is simply no empathy or sympathy whatsoever as this is a serious matter, which is the sheer case of if it doesn't affect me financially, why care as I have been paid attitude.

This is not right and it needs to be addressed as soon as possible and someone needs to take full responsibility and accountability for this!
