Complaint fot Government Clinic in George

I want to lodge a complaint for one of my uncle who is staying in Thembalethu. He went to Thembalethu Clinic for a checkup and to pick up his treatment. After few days he was not looking very well and my cousin checked his medication in order to check if he is really taking his medication. When my cousin check the names on the outside of the pills she noticed that this medication belongs to somebody else who is also a member of our family who is also taking treatment for mental health in Tembalethu Clinic. Catch by the surprise on the weekend and then by early the following week they went to Thembalethu Clinic Head to lodge a complaint. The Head or the manager of the clinic did not take this complaint seriously as he didn’t even give them any positive response, he just told them is not his mistake is the dispensary error. The reason they went to complain is not because they were saying is his mistake they went to report the error so that it does not happen in Future because they are not treated for the same condition so I also believe it’s wrong to give a person a treatment which does not belong to them or tested for them. As the Head of the Clinic or the manager he was supposed to call the person who issue the medication to the wrong patient and find out what happen, why was the wrong medication given to this individual and how long was this happening in order to identify if they were not side effects encountered because of the wrong treatment that he was given. And Lastly apologize for what has happened as the head of the clinic because I believe everyone has inherent human dignity which must be respected and is not wrong to lodge a complaint if you see the person’s life is at risk because of the error that somebody has caused.

I would be very happy if you would assist with this matter so that it does happen again because now they may be not any effects or consequences because of this, but if this behavior continue in to our clinics it will mean we are putting some of our people to huge risks because of the negligence in our clinics. I believe everyone has to right to live in a safe environment and everyone is equal before the law and may not be unfairly discriminated because they are going to government clinics.
