To whom it may concern

I would like to lodge a formal complaint against paramedics who worked day shift on the 16 November 2019 in Cofimvaba hospital. Around 2:00am on Saturday I received a call from my parents requesting me to call an ambulance on their behalf to Kulo –Ngqai Location. The treatment that my parents received from the people (paramedics) who went to fetch patient (my sister) was very disrespectful. My dad called requesting an ambulance around 02:42 in the morning, and they immediately dispatch the ambulance but my dad was unreachable on the phone. Due to panic I called at 04:10 in the morning for follow up because I had spoken with my dad and he advised me that the ambulance has not arrived yet. I was told that they tried contacting my dad but he was not available, then they returned. Immediately I personally requested them to dispatch the ambulance again then I gave them my number in case they can’t get hold of my dad. I called again 04:14 to find out if the ambulance has been dispatched again and I was advised that they tried calling both phones and they were on voicemail. I told them immediately that my phone was never off, they promised to dispatch the ambulance immediately.

At 06:21 I called trying to find the whereabouts of the ambulance, person who just came on duty answered the call and told me that the ambulance was cancelled because both phones were off, I started flipping because my sister was very ill. I called again because I could not rest my sister was very ill and she is pregnant but to me it seems that the people who were on the shift did not care not sure if it was because they were not related to the patient. To cut long story long they finally made their way to my parent’s home when they got there my parents were not there. They took my very ill sister to the nearest clinic KwaDosi Ncora. Unfortunately they did not get help they were referred to the hospital. Paramedics called advising my parents that they are waiting for them Kulo –Ngqai. My dad requested them to meet somewhere of which they finally met, one paramedic by was very rude to my parents saying they do not fetch Amageza bona (we do not assist MAD patients), I am not sure if she is the doctor, did she diagnosed her? Is this how are supposed to treat patients family? Were they trained to undermine people? Are our families not supposed to get help from EMS for help? Or it is for certain people who meets that paramedic’s standard? I am pretty sure this not 1st patient family she has treated like this. I want her to be dealt with. If I do not get a response from you guys within 24hrs I am taking this to Helopter and Twitter. Nobody disrespects my parents and gets away with it?
