Ants crawling on baby

On the 24th of december, i went to visit my niece at dilokong hospital in burgersfort for a scorpion sting, i was shocked when i walked in the children ward as i was the first to enter, a boy on the bed next to my niece had a broken leg, on his bed and body, ants were crawling everywhere, some even biting him as i saw the pain on his face. As i was dusting of the ants from his body and bed, his parents walked in. The boy started crying, they asked me whats going on i told them i found ants on him and they saw them too. They called one nurse and the nurse said the boy must have spilled food on the bed because they were eating lunch an hour before visiting hours, the boy must be around 3-4yrs of age. When he saw the nurse coming in, he crabbed his mother and said the nurse will beat him for crying.

This was a very bad experience for everyone, and it lead to my sister staying at the hospital 24hrs to watch over her child because she didnt want her baby going through the same trauma. I asked the parents why arent they complaining about the service and they said they dont want to complain because the service will be worse and they dont know what is going to happen to their children when they are not at the hospital.

I wonder why is it that children wards dont have cctv installed in them to monitor the treatment of our childre.

I have sent an email to the health department and i havent received any feed back
