Shocking service from Dennis Lloyd

We got married on Friday 12 April 2019. We got in contact with Dennis Lloyd believing he was a good affordable designer through a referral of a friend in November 2018. He presented this massive Black Friday Special whereto we agreed and paid my wedding dress in full and 50% of my husband's suit. On Wednesday 10 April 2019 I contacted Dennis Lloyd on his cell phone which was turned off. Obviously with our wedding only being 2 days away this was a bit of a concern seeing that he had to finish our wedding clothes (my wedding dress, my husband’s full suit, our son's suit).

Being in a panic state I decided to travel to Centurion the following day (11 April 2019), once again, only to find panicked brides and a note against his store window (see photo attached), stating that Dennis had a nervous breakdown and providing alternative numbers for people that can assist with completing the clothes. There were 3 brides over that specific weekend, myself on the Friday, 12 April 2019 and 3 brides on the Saturday, 13 April 2019). I had to make arrangements for a new wedding dress a day before our wedding. I had to drive around Centurion to get final alterations done as well as printing on my husband and son's suits. Luckily, I found someone that could provide a wedding dress at extra cost and extremely short notice. It is now over more than a year and a half later and still we have not received any response from Dennis Lloyd, not a phone call, an email or a WhatsApp or text message to apologies or even offering a refund. My lawyers contacted Dennis Lloyd earlier this year to serve a Letter of demand to claim our lost money back, his response was just: Send your paperwork. I’m absolutely disgusted by his behaviour especially seeing the YOU magazine’s article published about him in August this year. Talk about people operating with the Bible under the arm, this guy is exactly the best example. Shocking!! People must be warned about this guy for he is living under false pretences.
