Democratic Alliance...I expected better

<p>I live opposite a school and nearby another primary school and day care centre. My house is on a corner and I have a drive way which is concealed from the people coming down Hornbill Avenue from the right. People come down this road very fast and we have had over 20 near misses as a family and also a lot of abuse from people having to slow down suddenly. </p> <p>Since 2013, I have been in contact with Mr Arvin Sarjoo from the Tshwane Municipality who has been giving me nothing but lip service and in 2016, after nearly being ****ED, I contacted my ward councillor Casper Mc Donald.</p> <p>The answer from Casper Mc Donald, the Democratic Alliance Ward Councillor, who I and my family voted for, was “Although the fact that I am not an engineer I learned from experience that speed humps can and will never be a solution for reckless drivers that speeds down a street. It rather contributes towards all kinds of other problems.”</p> <p>When I see a speed bump, I slow down or my car gets damaged.</p> <p>My problem is, on other sections of the street, there are plenty of speed humps. But these are not where there are concealed driveways.</p> <p>IS MY VOTE WORTH NOTHING????? DO I HAVE TO DIE BEFORE NOTICE IS TAKEN??? WHAT ABOUT IF I GET ROADRAGED OR IF I ASSAULT SONEONE ELSE WHO NEARLY MISSES ME???</p>
