DA Disappeared

I'm an ardent member of the DA and reside in ward 73 Chatsworth. During the recent elections for a new ward councillour a lot of promises were made but the councillour has failed us dismally and it's now become clear that all he's interested in is lining his pockets and not serving the people. We have been battling a sewer problem from the beginning of August 2023 and although multiple calls were made to the said councillour the results have been the same in that he would either not take our calls, refuse to read our text messages and doesn't even visit his area to do a site inspection. We have since been literally living in the ship and this has resulted in unhygienic conditions for a number of elderly people in the area. The matter was escalated using the following avenues.1. Personal visits to his office. 2. Speaking to the chairman of the DA Chatsworth telephonically as well as raising the concern with a member of parliament. All these requests were made with videos, and photos concerning the problem. When speaking to the chairman I was told that they are not scared of any higher authority and that we could take the matter up with anyone. On one particular occasion I personally asked my ward councillour to come out to my premises as the municipality was demanding a thousand rand per household to clear their sewers. Although photos and vehicle registrations were sent to the Ward councillour he refused to come out saying that he was too busy doing proof of residence which from my knowledge is a an admin job and could be done by his employees. I even referred him to the handbook rules of ward councillours which he refused to acknowledge. Totally disappointed by the DA and will make it my and my neighborhood duty not to vote for th DA in next years election.
