Bruce Herbert

DA councillor Bruce Herbert cannot assist with problems in his ward, specifically the repair of electricity cables. There are cable problems for the 4th time this year and when Bruce Herbert is approached he simply blames the non-service on the inefficiency of the JHB City Council. Residents seem to eventually resolve their own problems. Residents have repeatedly asked him to assist but he appears unwilling or unable, not sure which. During a phone call today he assured me power would be restored today. When I asked by what time he was evasive, abrupt and abusive. This is how he previously handled the same problem, until he switches his phone off later in the afternoon. This can go on for a few days. He was quoted in the Randburg Sun as saying the function of a ward councillor is \attending to residents' needs in an area."I didnt think that amounted to avoiding residents and blocking them on his phone"
