Good morning I hope you are well. I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding the vehicle I purchased from Demo Cars Dealership in Centurion on 11 April 2025. Before collecting the car, all discussions and finalization of terms were handled over the phone between myself and the salesperson. The agreed monthly instalment was R6,700, which I was comfortable with. On the day I collected the car, it was already late and the dealership was about to close. As a result, I was simply shown the pages where I needed to sign and did not have the opportunity to go through the full contract, trusting that everything reflected what had been discussed. Unfortunately, I only reviewed the contract thoroughly yesterday (17 September 2025) and discovered the following issues: A balloon payment of R101,498.41 was added to the agreement without my knowledge. The instalment reflected is R6,926.41 for 71 months, meaning the total repayment is nearly double the principal amount – something I would never have knowingly agreed to. An additional R15,000 charge for an aircon has been included as “miscellaneous items,” despite this being a brand-new car. These terms were never disclosed to me during our discussions, and I feel I was misled into signing a contract under rushed circumstances. I request that this matter be urgently investigated and rectified, as I cannot accept such undisclosed and unreasonable charges.
