My bad experience with Deltec & their Solar 100ah batteries.

- Bought 4x100ah solar batteries. - 6 months down the line, i cannot even get 45 min battery life out of them.

- Roland has advised that there is a big back log for returned batteries for recharging and testing. Unfortunately i am going on week 3 of load shedding while working from home. (Does the backlog mean there are underlying problems with the batteries?)

Constructive criticism: 1. Take your client in confidence and advise them of the progress when testing the batteries. It has been two weeks and only today i was told that the batteries have to be retested. No feedback what so ever is provided unless you literally sit on the phone and hunt them done. 2. Management to at least meet the customers halfway, you cant expect a customer to wait 3 weeks for battery testing it just sounds absurd. You are aware of what we are using these batteries for. if you are not aiding us to get solution, we are sorry but we will look for satisfactory answers else where. Honestly i am highly disappointed as i held you in high regard.

3. I could hardly get hold of anyone on landline, it only got better when i got the GM's business card (Alva). I am really not trying to be difficult but just simple answers so that i can also plan my life accordingly. The operations guys are impossible to get hold off. Alva tried to assist but its clear that something is broken. i had people who were looking for batteries but after the experience i am going through i could unfortunately not recommend the Deltec.

4. After sale service feels none existent. i am not sure if you prioritize a specific target market. i can certainly confess that i don't feel like there was any urgency practiced while we enjoy over 10 hours of load shedding a day. I feel like its a lost opportunity to win over life time clients.

5. Alrode Reception, one has to stand there with no attention paid. Its really not impressive.

6. Problem Solving - On my physical visit to Alrode, i spoke to the GM, after our chat and advising that they suspect that the problem is the installation after all was fine for 6 months. The solution was to be delivered by the Technical director, which apparently was in a meeting, when i opted to wait i was advised that he has driven off the property. it just leaves a bitter taste in the customers mouth. I was hopeful but later the GM atleast called and advised that they cannot help me i just need to wait until the batteries are checked. ETA was 27 Jan 2023. The promise was not kept.

I have been promised that by the 1st of February 2023, they will be ready, but due to the above i am struggling to believe this as charging and discharging batteries is taking 3 weeks.

I am seriously in need of a new supplier, this is also a lesson to my installer.
