No compensation for direct costs incurred due to delayed/cancelled flight

I incurred direct expenses due to an overnight flight delay on July 28th, 2025. The flight delay resulted in my missing a connecting flight and an overnight hotel booking which I then had to re-book and pay additional costs for. My case number is ***1 My email and phone communications have been fruitless, although compensation was promised in writing by Delta when the flights were changed.
