I purchased a R500,000 vehicle from Vehicle Connection in January, and the gearbox failed within two weeks of delivery. The vehicle was returned to the dealership, where the owner, Devon Tindell, alongside their service provider, Delport Gearbox, assured me that the unit had been fully repaired and serviced. To ensure the vehicle's safety, I commissioned an independent assessment by my private mechanic. This inspection conclusively proved that the gearbox filter and oil had never been replaced. Despite providing clear photographic evidence of this oversight to both the dealer and the specialist, both parties denied the proof and insisted the work had been completed. This is a blatant case of professional misconduct and *****ulent misrepresentation of services. Furthermore, throughout this entire ordeal, neither Vehicle Connection nor Delport Gearbox provided any form of assistance or accommodation. I was left to cover all my own alternative transport costs, including extensive Uber fees and car hire services. The dealership was not even prepared to reimburse the fuel expenses incurred from transporting the vehicle back and forth between their premises and the specialist. Deal with this establishment with extreme caution, as they demonstrate a complete lack of integrity and zero regard for consumer rights.
