Food EXTREMELY overpriced, platter ordered short
I bought a Groupon voucher for a platter from Delightful Delicacies in Irene Village Mall. 64 piece savoury platter, supposedly worth R431-20. When I picked it up on the 31st of December, I could not believe how small the platter was and how little food was on it. Most of the food was only one bite size (the spring rolls two bites size) and when I asked the lady if she is sure it is my platter, she assured me it was. When I got home I realised there were only 54 (very tiny) pieces of food on the platter. Return travel time is about 1 hour and I had to go through 2 e toll gates, so going back was out of the question. We had visitors from Cape Town and that was supposed to be lunch. How on earth can she advertise a bite size of food for the same price as a proper size? I could have bought at least 3 platters with lots of meaty food from Spar for the same price! And it would have saved me a lot of petrol, travel time and e toll fees. She should not be allowed to advertise on Groupon! Never will I buy anything else from Delightful Delicacies. We took a photo of the platter and every time I look at it I get very cross. I hate misleading adverti*****ts!
