Shocked is an understatement!

Kindly advise how this work: I took a vehicle in to get a roadworthy certificate on Saturday 23rd August at the Gezina testing center (after i made a booking a week in advance, got there 30min before the time but my spot was given to someone else ) There were some minor problems and the vehicle failed, on the form it states i got until the 05/09/2020 to qualify for the re test. I immediately attended to the minor issues which is now sorted. I called today to make an appointment for the test and I was advised that the next available spot is only on the 16th of September?!?! Which means i will then have to pay again for the test. I will not!!! Kindly assist with a full refund or open spot for me to take the vehicle in before the 05 September.

Dear Jannie, DOT introduced regulations due to Covid 19 and all vehicle test centers are only allowed to inspect 24 vehicles per station per day in Gauteng and to make use of a booking system. Unfortunately this situation created tremendous problems within the industry. DEKRA Management will make  contact with you to advise further.

Any update here? Still waiting for "management" to make contact. Worst service received since the lockdown from any company.

i understand the regulations, but then you need to extend the grace period for the re test to be done because this new regulations is affecting us all

Dear Jannie, Unfortunately we as DEKRA cannot extend the re-test period of 14 days as this is legislation. There was a grace period allowed by Government for vehicles tested prior to lockdown.
