Dekra (Rosslyn)

I recently bought a vehicle from Autoworld, Pretoria (review available) that was inspected by Dekra Rosslyn. They gave the vehicle a clean bill of health, with signs of minor accident. After taking ownership of the vehicle the following faults were found: Brights were not working - Xenon light controllers failed (cost to repair R9k) Xenon bulbs had low intensity - faulty Xenon bulbs (another R9k to replace) Vehicle had accident damage to the front - both light housing and controllers were replaced with after market parts Accident damage to the front plastic bumper - a normal ***** put through the plastic to keep the bumper in place Bash plate have a huge knock on the steel.

According to Dekra (Rosslyn branch) all of this was the results of minor accident damage. My assumption would be that they are working with Autoworld, Pretoria in selling faulty vehicles and giving false assurances of the condition of the vehicle. I bought the vehicle base on their inspection thereof. I ended having to pay R18.5k to have working lights on the vehicle and still have an accident damaged vehicle with aftermarket light housings (although I bought a vehicle with a valid VW warrantee
