Appalling service in Wynberg, Cape Town

I went to Dekra Wynberg in Cape Town and it was shocking. I was told by the CT vehicle registration department that I need my imported car identified at a roadworthy centre to start the registration process I called the receptionist to find out what I needed to bring with me and how much it would cost. When i turned up the man I spoke to was very abrupt and patronising. His tone made me feel very uncomfortable. Told me (falsely) that I needed a full roadworthy test and not just the engine number confirmed. Then he asked me several times (with disbelief and contempt) several questions about police clearance and demanded to inspect those papers (they are not his remit, not required by DEKRA and I didnt bring them along because the receptionist had not mentioned it when I called earlier) After much debate he sbu8rptyly barked at me to bring the car inside. As I climbed out of the car he again barked to open the hood. No warmth, no friendliness and even even I struggled with the bonnet he just stood there refusing to help. He finally demanded more money (cash) than I'd been quoted and I refused to overpay. All in all it seemed a typical example of two women (receptionist and myself) collaborating like adults and knowing exactly what needed to be done, colliding with the arrogance of an ego which actually didnt have the knowhow but needed to dominate regardless. Certainly I'll never ever be back.
