Appalling service

On Thursday 28 April 2016 I called into the Midrand office hoping to get a copy of the technical inspection that was done on my vehicle on 8 August 2015. I was instructed to physically come into the office the following day and speak to the manager. On Friday 28 April 2016 I came into the office to speak to the manager as instructed. After waiting patiently, I was addressed by a rude and condescending manager, Andre, who asked me why I wanted a copy of my report and what I was going to do with it. He asked a number of questions to determine whether I was authorised to get a copy of the report and imp**** that I may have ********** intentions. Once satisfied that I was not a *****, he took down my contact details and the particulars of my vehicle and told me to come back the following Tuesday to get the report. On Tuesday 2 May 2016 I returned to Midrand office as agreed and was told that they were not able to locate the copy of the report. Andre again took down my contact details and the particulars of my vehicle and said that he would look through the files and contact me once he had located the report, which he said could take up to 14 work days. On Monday 16 May 2016 I still had not heard from Andre so I called the office and was told that they still had not located a copy of the report. Andre then asked me to be physically come to office again and assured me that he would pertsonally ensure that I get the report. I came to the office and suroruise, surprise, nothing had been found. On Friday 20 May 2016 I had still not heard from Andre and called again to see if anything had been found. Andre told me that the office had been very busy, but he was searching tirelessly for my report. On Monday 23 May, I called the office 23 times between 12:00-14:15 and was only able to speak to someone on the 23rd try. When I finally got ahold of Andre he told me that he found the documentation saying that a technical inspection was done on my vehicle, but the report itself must have been thrown away as it is not Dekra's duty to keep a copy of the technical report. Not only was my time, petrol and airtime wasted chasing after management, I was told that the document i paid over R1600 had been thrown away. I do not dispute that there is a duty upon customers to keep their reports safe, but what are we paying for if copies of such important documents are thrown away? What is the purpose of there being a copy if it will just be discarded? If there is no filing system in the Midrand office, why was I sent on a wild goose chase? I boggles the mind that this pathetic service is what I received from a business I have long trusted. Please contact me and tell me that a copy of my technical inspection report can be found. I am willing to come into any of the Gauteng offices to look for it myself.
