Terribly disappointed

<p>Hello</p> <p>I am utterly disappointed by the service that I have received here.</p> <p>More than a month ago I phoned to book accommodation at the Deja-Vu guesthouse in Paternoster. We wanted to book 1 night accommodation at the guesthouse as we are attending a wedding in the area. We were told by the guesthouse that this would not be a problem and accommodation would be arranged. As this was a spare room on the property no photos were available. So I asked to see some photos (we already made a provisional booking) 1,2,3 and eventually 4 weeks passed and still no news from Deja-Vu regarding our photos or any word from them. During the month that passed both my husband and myself emailed and neither of us heard a word.</p> <p>Today after I phoned them AGAIN, I was very unhelpfully 'assisted' by the lady on the other side and told that 'oh ya, that booking... ya we can't help you, it's December and 1 night stays are not possible...' this is all fine and well... only this was NOT communicated to me in the MONTH that has already passed since our first provisional booking and contact.</p> <p>Furthermore the woman on the phone made no effort to apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused us nor bothered to explain why we were not contacted regarding this matter. She simply said that we should find accommodation elsewhere.</p> <p>Very disappointed to receive such inhospitable treatment from what is supposed to be a people-orientated business.</p> <p>I would have greatly appreciated at least an apology from them as this has caused a great deal of inconvenience because we were under the impression that we HAD accommodation and now we not sure if we will even get in the area seeing as so much time has passed and Paternoster has probably filled up since we last looked.</p>
