Very Bad Customer care
Poor customer service I am writing this to share my deepest disappointment from the treatment received from Hirsch's Strubens Valley. I purchaseda Microwave from Hirsch’s online in less than two weeks the microwave began to overheat from the base, causing the internal microwave plate to crack during normal use.
When I reported this issue, I was advised that instead of a refund or replacement, I could purchase a new plate at a discounted price. I find this response completely unacceptable for the following reasons:
The microwave is defective. The issue is not just the cracked plate, but the fact that the microwave itself is overheating — a serious functional and safety concern. Offering a discounted plate does not resolve the underlying problem, which may continue to damage any new plate placed inside.
Your explanation blaming user error is unreasonable. I have been told that the plate cracked because it was placed directly on the microwave base. However, this explanation is flawed, the heat is generated at the base of the microwave regardless of what is placed inside. Whether it is a microwave-safe plate or the original turntable, if the microwave is overheating, it will damage whatever is placed in that area.
I bought this product in good faith, expecting reliability and safety. That it became unsafe and damaged so quickly is unacceptable, and the proposed resolution fails to acknowledge or address the actual defect in the appliance.
So I took it back bought a galss plate ,now it burned my wall plug socket. I took it back ask for Defy to give me a proper report indicating what they checked. Instead Hirsch calls me saying they checked it and still cant find fault with it. They think maybe its my plug??? What I have used this plug since i moved in in 2011 and now it decides to burn their Microwave"" no report was submitted, and I am still patiently waiting. with my R3200 out off my hands.n
