Service? I think not!

On 15 January 2024 I contacted Defy because my oven was not working. I was informed that I would need to pay a call-out fee of R690.00 up front before a technician would come and look. I did, and emailed proof of payment to the company on the email address I was given. After countless phone calls, in which I was assured that my request was 'being escalated', I am still waiting for service. On Monday 5 February I phoned again and threatened that I would be taking further action if this lack of service continued. Yesterday morning I received a call asking me to pay R690 in order for a technician to come and look! I once again stated that it had already been paid. I was then asked for the email address to which I had sent proof of payment, and was once again assured that it would be looked into. Yesterday afternoon I got a call from the manager asking me what reference I had used on the EFT payment. The information is all on the proof of payment I emailed to them! It is now 12:40 on Wednesday 7 February and I have had absolutely no comeback from Defy. I would strongly recommend that they remove the word 'service' from the name of their company, because there isn't any!!!
