R700 for a 5 minute stove diagnosis.

o Early December 2023 contacted Defy Service (10+ calls) to repair old Defy Thermofan stove’s warming drawer element and thermostat. o Technician arrived 2 weeks later, inspected stove (5 minutes) charged R700 (was to return after sourcing parts, payment included part future labour time to fit parts). o 21-23 December contacted Defy, no parts as Durban Defy supplier was stock taking, but the thermostat was currently available. Awaiting element - Xmas no stove. o January contacted Defy. Technician arrived with incorrect thermostat and incorrect element. Promises to source correct parts (if possible). o February, I had the element custom-made and fitted it myself. Contacted technician to fit thermostat – no stock. o Outcome: R700 paid to Defy for a 5 minute diagnostic.
