Defy authorised service centre SANDTON
Good day I have a Defy 14kg aqua wave top loader washing machine. In November 2024 machine started giving problems and showing codes E6 and E6. I phoned the Defy authorised service centre in Sandton and logged a call. The 2 technicians came out and confirmed that the machine is only unbalanced. I paid R690 for the call out fee. Technician said machine is fine I must just put a rubber mat underneath the machine. Which I did. Immediately after he left I put in some towels to.wash and machine showed same codes. I logged a call again. Technician came.on the Saturday. Checked the door, checked and clean the sensors and balanced it again. Still not working. Technician informed me it's the PC Board that's broken. This centre quoted me on and I.paid the R1350.74 for a new PC Board. The technician fitted the new board.on the 22nd. Machine was only for for a few days and it showed codes again. I logged a call. This centre kindly tried to.help.me over whatts app. I leveled the machine again and it was working for few days again, same problems. I logged a call, they where closed for the holidays. In January 2025 I logged a call again Technician came out. He did a thorough check and test of the machine. He ran a cycle and saw the same codes as I do. Technician informed me that the new PC BOARD that was fitted on 22 November 2024 is now faulty Not even 2 months after installation It gave problems from the beginning. Now the service centre quoted me on a new PC Board R650. After I the consumer complaint they gave me discount. Please note the reason for me to have to.pay.is according to.this service centre due to the fact that Defy does not give guarantees or their products It's a.lie. I.phoned the Defy customer care line. They asked for the job card no. This service centre I have asked on the 16th and 17th of January 2025 for the job card with no sending the job card. Only said will send soon Still nothing.
Please explain to me how is it fair for the consumer to pay twice for a faulty.part that's suppose to be under 6months guarantee.
If I pay the R650 and in 2 weeks the part is faulty must I pay again and again
Please can you help me
